How to qualify:
The 2011 Poet of the Year must be an ASPS member of at least two years, does not have to be published in book form, but must support poets and must promote and present poetry throughout the year. Poet of the Year must be nominated by someone other than the candidate. Send a letter of qualifications for your nominee to Joe Whitten—address below. (A member may not be Poet of the Year more than once in ten years.) This position will not be filled if there are no nominees.
