Susan Luther has earned degrees from LSU Baton Rouge, UAH, and Vanderbilt University. An experienced teacher and presenter, she has taught public school, commercial college, community college, and university classes, and has given more than 100 readings, workshops, conferences, and lectures throughout the USA and England. Her poetry and prose regularly appear in a variety of small-press and academic journals, from the Birmingham Poetry Review, Centennial Review, and Dreaming to Studies in Romanticism. A Hackney Award winner and past finalist for the Anhinga Prize as well as for Glimmer Train's Short Story Award for New Writers and the New Letters Literary Awards, Ms Luther served on the board of the Huntsville Literary Association for nearly 20 years and was an editor of POEM magazine for 13 years. Her collections of poetry include Breathing in the Dark (2000), Greatest Hits (chapbook, 2000), and Poems on the Line (chapbook reprint, 1998).
